In-running Lays: Back-to-lay The Storyteller and Tambura

Gordon Elliott

above: Gordon Elliott trains The Storyteller that runs in the 1.10 at Thurles

1.10 Thurles: Gordon Elliott’s horses continue to perform well and his horse The Storyteller looks to have a great chance of trading low here. He is usually held up behind the pace, in a race that looks sure to be run at a decent pace with the Walsh ridden favourite Battleford, a strong front-runner. It will be his first attempt going right-handed but he is a strong travelling horse that has performs well at undulating tracks like Thurles; he currently trades around 4.20 for a back-to-lay.

3.00 Ludlow: Tambura has traded blow at least half his BSP in-running in his last 4 races. His last run was a little below par, but that was on much quicker ground and was around Kempton’s left handed track, which was his first attempt going right-handed. Back going right-handed and on soft ground, this front-runner should have a much easier time of it with no other dominating pace in the race he should be able to lead; he currently trades around 9.40 for a back-to-lay.
