In-running Lays: Back-to-lay Oscar Jane and Sheer Poetry

2.15 Taunton: Oscar Jane won on her last visit to Taunton albeit on much quicker ground. While her recent runs of soft ground were quite poor she had a succession of races in a small amount of time and now comes here fresher. She should get her own way up-front and after a couple of poor runs she has dropped down the handicap a little and trading around 8.0 on Betfair, she is a great price for a back-to-lay.

4.45 Taunton: At the bottom of the handicap on 10-9, Sheer Poetry could be worth chancing in this class 4 handicap hurdle. Prior to her last race she had failed to complete in her previous 3 starts when being pulled up, falling and unseating but still managed to trade below at least half her BSP in 2 of those 3 races. Last time out she was beaten 39 lengths to finish 7th of 14 runners but still managed to trade down to 5.0 in-running from a BSP of 50.0. She races mid-field and usually travels well in her races which has seen her trade low in-running. Her recent run of poor finishing positions have seen her drop 8lb down the handicap. While she is a risky proposition, she could well trade very low in-running if things fall her way from what is sure to be a big BSP, she has currently been trading around 70.0 on Betfair.
