1.00 Lingfield: Prior to his last race Brasted was 8 from 8 trading below at least half his BSP. His last race was a much tougher class 4 handicap and found the competition too hot having mixed it mainly in class 6 company to great effect. Back down in a lower grade race and down to his last winning mark he should be a lot more competitive again; he currently trades around 9.20 for back-to-lay.
3.25 Thurles: Toon River reverts back to hurdles for the first time in nearly a year after running well in Chases. He comes in to this race on a high hurdles mark of 115 having last raced off 112 to finish third in a 3 miles hurdle here last year. In the last year he has progressed from a 126 rated chaser to a rating of 142 so his hurdles rating mark could be quite generous considering his improvement over fences.
He is 24 from 29 trading below at least half his BSP while over hurdles he is 7 from 8. While he has been off the track for over 7 weeks he has run well fresh and should be up with the pace and possibly leading; he is currently trading around 22.0 for a back-to-lay in this 11 runner handicap hurdle.
