2.10 Taunton: Fergal O’Brien’s Troika Steppes found the drop down to 2m5f over the national fences too much last time out. He never got going and was in rear throughout and was eventually pulled up. Back down in grade and over slightly longer he should be a lot more competitive and continue his trainer’s great run of form. Fergal O’Brien’s last 20 runners have all traded below at least half their BSP in-running. He likes to race prominently and may even make the running here; he currently trades around 11.0 for a back-to-lay.
2.50 Hereford: Shoofly Milly traded down to 1.10 from a BSP of 5.30 last time out, here over course and distance and from only 1lb higher she could go close again. A slow jump at the last probably cost her victory when only going down by 1 and ¾ lengths. She likes to bowl along in front which has seen her trade below at least half her BSP in-running in 5 of her last 6 races. Although there are a couple of others that can lead they probably won’t want to take her on; she currently trades around 16.0 for a back-to-lay.
