In-running Lays: Back-to-lay The Tourard Man and Church Field

The Tourard Man

Above: Right, The Tourard Man finishes second to Flintham at Ascot.

3.05 Doncaster: The Tourard Man, yet to win as a novice chaser gets in this novice chase without any penalty. He finished fourth last time out in a class 3 handicap carrying top weight of 11-12 and prior to that on his chase debut he finished a distant third to the much higher rated Native River who then went on to bet David Pipe’s Un Temps Pout Tout in his next race. He has a great in-running trading history having traded below at least half his BSP in-running in 8 of his last 9 races. Today’s drying ground at Doncaster should suit him fine and should be able to take a prominent position behind the leaders in this competitive 5 runner race to trade low in-running; he currently trades around 7.40 for a back-to-lay.

3.50 Huntingdon: Church Field drops back down to 2 and half miles after a couple of runs over 3 miles that have seen him run poorly. At today’s distance he has 2 wins and fifth placed finish where he traded down to 3.95 in-running from a BSP of 16.66 in three runs. He races prominently and can lead; he currently trades around 27.0 for a back-to-lay.
