In-running Lays: Back-to-lay Take Cover and Deano

Deano

Above: Deano has traded below at least 20% of his BSP in his last 9 races.

1.45 Lingfield: Group 2 winning sprinter, Take Cover who is already a listed winner on his only start on a synthetic surface at Dundalk, makes a first visit to Lingfield’s all-weather track. He takes on two other big turf sprinters in Muthmir and Move In Time that he wouldn’t be far behind, having split the two in second place in last year’s King George Stakes. Move In Time has run once on the All-weather at Kempton and could only finish 10th of 12 runners while it will be Muthmir’s first attempt on the surface. Take Cover is drawn widest in stall 10 but this should not be an issue as he’s a strong front runner who usually is quick away; he currently trades around 7.0 for a back-to-lay.

4.05 Navan: Deano has traded below at least half his BSP in 13 of his 14 races, including his last 12 races. After spending the latter off of last year over hurdles he now returns back to chasing on his handicap debut. Over hurdles he is usually ridden patiently in midfield or further back, but in his chases he has been ridden more prominently, just behind the pace. In his last 9 races he has traded at less than 20% of his BSP to a maximum of just 2.30 in-running from some double figure prices and could trade very low again today; he currently trades around 9.60 for a back-to-lay.
