In-running Lays: Back-to-lay Sternrubin, Galway Jack and Page Turner

Aso

Above: Sternrubin should lead in the big handicap at Newbury

3.35 Newbury: Sternrubin has won his last 3 races and last time looked to have gone off far too quick but kept up the fast pace to finally dead-heat for first place. He has gone up 14lb for his 3 wins and the handicapper does look to be taking his toll but he should be forcing the pace again to trade low in-running from a decent price; he currently trades around 10.0 for a back-to-lay.

3.50 Warwick Galway Jack and Niceonefrankie look the pace in this race. Galway Jack has a great in-running record and today’s race looks a good opportunity for him to trade low again in-running with 4 of the other 7 runners coming in to this race off a layoff, including Niceonefrankie. He should again run his usual race to trade low in-running; he currently trades around 6.0 for a back-to-lay.

4.35 Gowran Park: Page Turner returned from over a year off to win a 2 miles 1 furlong hurdles race here at Gowran Park just over 3 weeks ago. Though he had been chasing more recently and had improved considerably he still had what looked a lenient handicap mark on his return to the smaller obstacles. He led all the way for a nice win, he is up 6lb for that race but he still looks to be on a good mark and should go close again with only Tongie looking the opposition for the lead; he currently trades around 4.40 for a back-to-lay. The 13-year-old, Followmeuptocarlow should travel well through the race; he currently trades around 10.50.
