In-running Lays: Back-to-lay Kerrow and Boxing Along

Alan King

1.45 Doncaster: Kerrow has traded below at least half his BSP in 5 out of his 6 races to date and comes in to this race as one of the most experienced in the field. He steps down in grade and distance slightly where several in the race look totally outclassed. He is back on a sounder surface that seems to suit better judged on his form and in-running trading history. He escapes a penalty having not won a race and claimer Tom Bellamy is back on board taking off 3lb. He is usually held up in his races and challenges late on; he currently trades around 7.80 for a back-to-lay.

4.25 Thurles: Boxing Along has traded below at least half his BSP in 17 of his last 18 races, including his last 11. He returns back to hurdles having recently been competing in chases, cross country chases and hunter chases. His last run over hurdles was his penultimate start on the 12th of December where he traded down to 1.35 in-running from a BSP of 15.50; he finished second after racing prominently throughout. He is up 3lb for that second place finish but that shouldn’t stop him from running his usual race; racing prominently with the leaders. With his great in-running record he looks a great bet; he currently trades around 9.0 for a back-to-lay.
