In-running Lays: Back-to-lay Bapak Bangsawan and Paddy The Oscar

Paddy The Oscar

Above: Paddy The Oscar returns back to Warwick.

2.10 Southwell: Bapak Bangsawan is taking on old foe Powerful wind who usually challenges him for the lead along with several others that can lead so there should be a lot of pace on in this 5 furlong sprint. Bapak Bangsawan has a decent draw in stall 4 next to Powerful wind in 3 and Jaarih who has also front run in 2. These 3 will probably dominate the early pace of the race down the quicker ground in the centre of the track with Bapak Bangsawan just having the edge early on; he currently trades around 16.0 for a back-to-lay.

2.20 Warwick: Paddy The Oscar returns back to Warwick having won here 2 runs back where he dominated from the front. He fell last time out at Taunton just 15 days ago where he led for a long way in that race to trade down to 6.40 from a BSP of 18.90. He is almost certainly going to be leading again to trade low in-running; he currently trades around 20.0 for a back-to-lay.

3.55 Thurles: Gibbstown has traded below at least half his BSP in his last 8 races; winning just once. He’s a regular visitor to Britain and has done all his winning on British tracks but still runs solid races in his native Ireland. He ran a poor race by his standards last time out when pulled up but still traded down to 8.20 in-running from a BSP of 40.0. He was ridden by A. P. Heskin but is now reunited with regular jockey, 5lb claimer, Jonathan Moore who takes his mark down to just 87; just 10 months ago he won off 99. He is usually patiently ridden in behind to make steady headway late in the race; he currently trades around 14.50 for a back-to-lay.
